Carol Black-Lemon, Founder of Creative Connection introduced her discussion group idea to her new community in Florence, South Carolina. "Having moved here from Essex County New Jersey, where I co-founded the group and facilitated meetings at the West Orange Arts Center for over a decade, I was ready to get involved and meet my new artist community. I always believed that if nothing was happening, I would take the initiative to make things happen, so I launched this a discussion group in April 2024 inviting artists of all genres and creative thinkers who wish to dialogue about their creative process. It's nice to know there are other artist who wish to start something and have more in Florence, SC. The people I met with all seem bright and caring. It is new so there is not a whole lot yet but the potential is there. I will try to go see them all again if able.
