Black-Lemon introduces her Ethereal Experience
My ethereal experience began when I focused on being free from the weight of the world. I imagined being weightless - focused on capturing a sense of mental freedom, openness and ease. I created two paintings that juxtapose each other. The Threshold reflects a state of being in-between, not knowing what is next or where letting go will lead. The Ethereal represents a truer sense of freedom, letting go, and finding peace in the ethereal experience.
The Threshold captures a state of being caught somewhere in-between worlds. Its deeply emotive figures are being pulled into the unknown.
The Ethereal evokes a sense of tranquil dreaminess and sublime grace through hues of cerulean, delicate yet powerful. It represents letting go of the weight of the world, enabling one’s mind and spirit to be transported into a realm of weightlessness and etherealism.
