Carol Black-Lemon curates Black History Month exhibit at the West Orange Arts Center
For Black History Month I wanted to create a project that would bring our community members together. The West Orange Arts Center (WOAC) has been offering free collage workshops which was the perfect way to display our family photos. Every collage was uniquely different and all were hands-on in creating their own stories. The exhibit, entitled, "Sharing Our Stories", had one of the biggest receptions at the arts center to date.
It was nice to welcome News 12 New Jersey's Prashnanthi Musapet to West Orange, NJ's West Orange Arts Council Arts Center to see our Black History Month exhibit "Sharing our Stories."
